The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), along with the Department of Transportation (DOT), requires that persons subject to the commercial driver’s license (CDL) requirements take a pre-employment drug screen before the driver begins safety-sensitive work. Also. Drivers who operate vehicles that require a CDL, and are not otherwise exempted are subject to DOT drug and alcohol testing.

WHY DO I NEED THIS TEST

If you are a DOT (FMCSA) covered employee the following conditions require an FMCSA pre-employment drug test

• The driver is new to the transportation industry.
• The driver is changing employers
• More than 30 days has passed since the driver participated in a random drug and alcohol testing program
• The driver has been enrolled in a random program less than 12 months and has not tested within the past six months

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET MY RESULTS
