Mushrooms Psyilocin Drug Test Panel

Test #:
Psilocybin mushrooms are also known as magic mushrooms, shrooms, and purple passion. They are categorized as a Schedule I controlled substance. Testing includes both Psilocybin and its analyte, Psilocin, and can test back approximately 80-90 hours.
When psilocybin enters the body, it turns into psilocin and is believed to affect serotonin levels in the brain. Increased activity in different brain regions can lead to unusual and altered perceptions, including paranoia, nervousness, panic reactions, nausea, and yawning.
The effects can take 30-45 minutes to begin and peak after around 90 minutes. The effects can last for up to 6 hours.
Most standardized drug tests don’t look for psilocybin or psilocin, so this test is explicitly geared towards mushroom drug testing for those looking to bridge that gap.
First, the urine is tested by liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (LC/MS-MS) at a threshold of 1.0 ng/mL. If the first test is positive, the lab will run a second confirmatory test that is done by a definitive liquid LC/MS-MS at the same testing threshold to ensure the most accurate result.
Your results will indicate positive, negative, or inconclusive/invalid. The threshold that the detected levels need to exceed to be declared positive is 1.0 ng/mL.
- A positive result means that a higher amount of psilocin than the threshold was found in your urine.
- A negative result means that psilocin was not found higher than the threshold in your urine.
The turnaround for this test is typically 5-10 business days but may take longer if confirmation testing is necessary.
