WHY DO I NEED THIS TEST?

Fentanyl has recently become the drug of choice for abusers in the U.S.  So much so that it’s often termed the fentanyl epidemic. Despite its potency, it’s often mixed with heroin and/or cocaine to increase their euphoric effects, with or without the user’s knowledge. The result is deaths. Tens of thousands of deaths every year. A Fentanyl drug test is not included in the standard 5-panel drug test primarily used by employers. Most drugs tests do not include Fentanyl. This panel screens for Fentanyl as part of a broader panel that includes commonly abused and misused drugs or their metabolites. Fentanyl use can be detected in urine for up to 72 hours after exposure. A confirmed positive result for fentanyl and/or its metabolite is considered evidence of use in that timeframe.
